The Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute (VPCI) is a unique postgraduate medical institution devoted to the study of chest diseases. The main objectives of VPCI have been to conduct research on basic and clinical aspects of chest medicine, to train post-graduates in Pulmonary Medicine and allied subjects, to develop new diagnostic technology and disseminate scientific knowledge related to Chest Medicine to other institutions in the country and to provide specialized clinical and investigative services to patients. Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institutes receives many patients from across the country and neighboring countries.

Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a term for a group of conditions that cause inflammation and scarring in your lungs. This heterogeneous collection of distinctive lung disorders is classified on the grounds of shared clinical, radiographic, physiologic, or pathologic factors. The institute caters to the needs of a large number of patients suffering from interstitial lung diseases.

The institute is celebrating World IPF week from 17TH -24TH September and will be organizing a national level quiz PG Quiz on 18-09-2023.
